Although email marketing is just one of the many different marketing strategies employed in digital marketing, it’s a very powerful strategy, as it accounts for more than a quarter of the conversions for many brands and corporations. Business owners should be using email marketing for their companies, as this is a great way to communicate with existing customers and bring in new ones.

With nearly 4 billion people worldwide using email today and nearly 270 billion emails being sent every day, and the numbers are still set to grow in the coming years, email is one of the best places where businesses can meet their consumers. Not only does it mean that the promotional content is going to be seen by the consumers, but it’s also a very personal way to connect with those clients.

Consumers prefer reading emails from brands and corporations because it’s already in their inbox folder. They know that most of the time, that email will be personalized with offers according to their needs or wants. Additionally, email comes with very small ad expenses for small companies, which means it’s possible to implement an email marketing campaign without investing in over the top marketing campaigns.

Consumers are more than happy to connect and engage with brands and corporations on social media, but email doesn’t fall too far behind on that list. And when brands use both of these options, it means there are even more options for the consumers to engage with the brand, receive promotional content and help companies achieve their goals.

Two of the main places where people share their opinions and experiences with brands are through social media platforms and surveys, they are sent to their emails. And keeping track of the consumers’ experiences is essential for businesses looking to improve their business process. Although sorting through posts and comments can be time-consuming, there is plenty of valuable social media information. However, it’s a lot easier for brands to gather important data about their business process and the customers’ buying journey with a customer satisfaction survey.

The content of an email is essential to having the subscribers follow the call to action in that email, which means that the content should be leading people to the company’s website, where they can then make a purchase. This means the company’s website can receive a lot more traffic with email marketing strategies, which will lead to an improved SEO — as long as the content and the offers fit the consumers’ needs.

Finally, there’s no need to guess whether an email campaign works, unlike some other marketing strategies. Companies can track who has opened the email, which links are followed the most, and even how many people stopped following the company’s campaigns.
