A compelling product or service should maintain some central values.

A compelling product can be simple or complex, but it must have customers returning to it on a regular basis.

It understands a customer and relates to a story they are living.

There are tons of marketing tactics.

The tactics and channels that work best will be those that are a great fit with the product and the business model of the company that produces it.

Marketing requires extensive knowledge of the target audience and their specific needs and challenges.

Hence, a compelling product will be a product that the target customer simply cannot refuse. Some tactics that can be used to create such a product are given below.

Satisfying Customer Service

If customers need help, it would be useful if businesses position themselves as their guide.

A business should be clear about what it has on offer.

The journey to quality customer service is personalized for each organization.

To understand the customer journey, businesses need to put themselves in the customers’ shoes. If businesses want customers to stay loyal, they have to invest in their experience.

For instance, while creating shoppable posts on Instagram, it is important not to think of the product first. Instead, it is important to consider how customers use the products. The products can be photographed in those environments to ensure the photos feel true to the feed.

Bonus Offers

Bonus offers can be of different types.

They can be additional products, a discount, a gift card or a voucher.

A bonus does not necessarily mean that prices have to be lowered or that things have to be given away for free. It just adds more value to the main offer, making it more compelling.

Bonuses should always be directly related to the product that is being sold. For instance, if the main product is an eBook, the bonus could be additional files or instructions.

Create a Sense of Urgency

The longer a customer broods over whether to buy a product or service, the more likely it is that they will talk themselves out of it.

They have to feel that they are about to miss out on or lose a great opportunity. An expiry date can be put on compelling offers.

A sense of urgency can also be created by limiting the number of items available. Triggering the fear of missing out is a great way to drive conversions and sales. For instance, amazon often uses limited-time offers.

Many of its product pages highlight how soon the customer has to order something to get it by a specific date.

Release Items on a Schedule

If a business plans to offer new products often, product launches on the same day every week or the same day every month is a good idea.

If customers are aware of the date of a new launch, chances are that they will visit the website of the business to check and see what it is.

It is even more likely that they would open the announcement email. Mejuri sells fine jewelry for everyday wear, and every Monday it launches new products that follow a design theme.
